Many companies will usually provide the necessary training to ensure that candidates interested in admin & secretarial careers can easily adapt to their specific needs. Previous experience is also an advantage and the ability to work supervised and un-supervised is indispensable if the candidate wants to succeed. The pay cheque that someone interested in admin & secretarial jobs takes home will depend on experience, company size, duties performed and location.

Qualifications and Experience:

Admin & secretarial careers are unusually sought by those that have a degree in business administration, GCSE or A-levels. However, the requirements will vary from company to company. Experience is the main deciding factor that companies use to separate potential employees from numerous applications. Candidates that do not have a degree in business administration or the likes can take the NVQ 2/3 with focus in business administration or the OCR Higher diploma in Administrative Procedures.  The City & Guilds Advanced Diploma and Higher Professional Diploma in Business Administration is another alternative for those that are interested in admin & secretarial careers in the UK.
